I was told my skills were obsolete at 58.
After 130+ rejections, I realized the problem wasn’t my experience. It was systemic age bias. So I stopped waiting to be chosen and started building something they couldn’t take.

Severance negotiated using her own documentation — which became the foundation of the brand
The Turning Point
I didn’t plan to become a workplace advocate. I was pushed out after decades of experience. I followed every rule, applied for every role, and faced 61 job rejections.
The defining moment wasn’t a sudden epiphany—it was the moment I refused to train my replacement. Instead of walking away quietly, I negotiated my own severance using documentation I built myself.
That was the turn. I stopped looking for jobs and started building The Unobsolete.
Today, my mission is clear: providing workplace rights education and advocacy for 40+ professionals, and guiding the HR leaders who manage them to do better.
Clarity on how I help
What I Am Not
- I am not a career coach.
- I do not help people find jobs.
What I Do
- I help experienced professionals protect the rights they already have and negotiate better outcomes when the writing is on the wall.
- I help HR leaders address age discrimination before it becomes costly litigation.
